The Arkansas Construction Hall of Fame has announced its 2026 inductees and award recipients, recognizing distinguished leaders whose work has shaped the built environment across the state.

The 2026 Hall of Fame inductees are:
Jimmy Alessi of Alessi Keyes Construction
Sam Alley of VCC Construction
William “Brock” Johnson of Garver
Doug Wasson of Kinco Constructors

Peter MacKeith of Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design, University of Arkansas will receive the 2026 Champion of Construction Award, and Michael Leiterman of Kinco Constructors has been named the 2026 Emerging Professional.

The Arkansas Construction Hall of Fame is a partnership between The Associated General Contractors of Arkansas (AGC Arkansas), the Arkansas chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA Arkansas), and the American Council of Engineering Companies of Arkansas (ACEC Arkansas), and honors Arkansans who have dedicated their lives to advancing architecture, construction and engineering in the state. Induction into the Hall of Fame represents one of the highest honors in Arkansas’s construction industry.

The Champion of Construction Award is presented to an individual, public official, company or organization not affiliated with an architecture, construction or engineering firm who demonstrates vision and commitment to advancing infrastructure and opportunity for Arkansans. The Emerging Professional Award recognizes a new professional under the age of 40 or with fewer than ten years in the industry who has advanced the public perception of the built environment through civic involvement, advocacy or professional development.

Established in 2000, the Arkansas Construction Hall of Fame is a biannual tradition honoring those who have made extraordinary contributions to Arkansas’s infrastructure and communities. “Since its inception, the Hall of Fame has inducted leaders across the industry whose work quite literally built Arkansas,” said Brad Spradlin, President and CEO of AGC Arkansas. “Their work has shaped our skylines, strengthened our infrastructure and improved the lives of generations of Arkansans. Their legacy deserves to be honored.”

In 2026, AGC Arkansas plans to further commemorate its honorees by establishing a permanent, physical Construction Hall of Fame at its new headquarters located at 1300 West 6th Street in Little Rock. The organization is currently in the design phase and anticipates completing the project in time for the 2026 induction ceremony.

The Arkansas Construction Hall of Fame Awards Banquet and Induction Ceremony will be held April 23 at 6:00pm Chenal Country Club in Little Rock.
