State Advocacy

In addition to our full-time lobbyists, the AGC Arkansas Legislative Committee plays a crucial role in guiding the chapter’s legislative and regulatory priorities, working hand-in-hand with our lobbying team who advocate year-round on behalf of the construction industry. Together, they establish the chapter’s agenda and lead efforts to advance and protect the interests of our members at both the state and national levels.

During regular legislative sessions, the committee meets weekly to review construction-related legislation, determine the chapter’s official positions, and develop effective advocacy strategies. Additionally, the AGC Highway Division maintains a formal partnership with the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) to help ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality roads and bridges for Arkansas citizens.

On behalf of our members, we collaborate closely with the Arkansas General Assembly to secure critical infrastructure funding and support long-term transportation development across the state.
