OSHA 500

This 4-day course prepares individuals to become authorized OSHA Outreach Trainers who can teach OSHA 10- and 30-hour construction safety and health courses. The training emphasizes critical construction safety topics, adult learning principles, and effective training techniques.

Topics Include:

• Fall protection, scaffolds, cranes, electrical, and excavation hazards

• Hazard communication, PPE, and health hazards

• Teaching strategies for hazard recognition and prevention

Prerequisites:

• OSHA 510 completed within the past 7 years

• 5 years of construction safety experience

• A degree in safety or CSP/CIH certification may substitute for 2 years of experience
