AGC Names new EVP

Little Rock, Ark. February 26, 2018: Joseph (Joey) Dean has been named the Executive Vice President of AGC Arkansas, the Arkansas Chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America, located in Little Rock.  Dean brings with him more than 25 years of experience in economic development, advocacy, organizational management, business development and marketing.  He was formerly with Flake & Kelley Commercial where his focus was on commercial and industrial brokerage, as well as governmental consulting.  He also served more than a decade as the Vice President of Economic Development for the Little Rock Regional Chamber and worked closely with state and local elected officials on economic development issues and projects.  “I could not be more excited to join AGC Arkansas.  My career has been spent developing and advancing the economy of our great state and I look forward to continuing those efforts at AGC Arkansas through the advocacy and promotion of the construction industry that is so vital to our economy,” said Dean.
 
Dean also served as the Executive Director of for the Metro Little Rock Alliance, a regional economic development marketing organization.  A graduate of the University of Arkansas, the Economic Development Institute (University of Oklahoma) and Leadership Greater Little Rock, he has received recognition for his leadership through Arkansas Business' 40 under 40 in 2004 and was honored as the 2008 recipient of the Arkansas Outstanding Economic Developer Award.

Upon Dean's employment, AGC Arkansas Board President Kevin Coakley, of Coakley Company, commented, “Joey brings the right balance of advocacy and development to take AGC Arkansas to the next level.  We look forward to the impact his experience will have on the construction industry as we continue our momentum as the go-to voice for commercial construction with the state legislature.”

AGC Arkansas is a voluntary trade association of commercial general contracting firms (highway, building and utility); specialty contractors; as well as supply and service firms. The Arkansas Chapter was established in 1934 and is the oldest and largest association of general contractors in the state.
