State Legislative Program
The AGC is the voice of the construction industry in Arkansas. Through a full time lobbying team, legislative committee and state agency liaison committees, the Arkansas Chapter vigorously promotes and protects the construction industries’ interests in the state legislature and the state agencies of Arkansas.

National Affiliation
The Arkansas AGC is a chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America, Inc. A company becomes a member of the AGC of America upon joining the Arkansas AGC. The AGC of America is the largest and oldest national construction trade association in the United States. AGC represents more than 35,000 firms, including 7,500 of America’s leading general contractors, and over 12,000 specialty-contracting firms. Over 14,000 service providers and suppliers are associated with AGC through a nationwide network of chapters.

National Legislative Program
Through the AGC of America, the Arkansas Chapter monitors regulations and concerns coming from Washington, D.C. The AGC of America works closely with Congress and the federal agencies in clarifying, interpreting and in disseminating the essential information so that the interests of the construction industry may be promoted and protected.

Safety Training
The Arkansas AGC offers numerous safety training seminars taught by OSHA and other safety experts throughout the year related to all areas of the construction industry. The Arkansas AGC Training Advisory Committee along with the Arkansas AGC Managing Director of Education & Training, Dan Lee, oversee the training programs of the association and are happy to meet the requests for seminars from AGC members.

Educational Seminars
The AGC sponsors timely seminars at the local, regional and national level that are conducted by industry experts designed to keep members updated on construction business issues.

Apprenticeship Training
The Arkansas AGC has three U.S. Department of Labor approved apprenticeship programs. A carpentry program is offered in North Little Rock and electrical programs are offered in North Little Rock and Conway. For more information contact Dan Lee, AGC Managing Director of Education & Training

This is done through photos, news releases and editorials submitted through the AGC staff. The AGC also sponsors various programs to help members gain visibility and enhance the industry’s image.
