The Arkansas
Chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) applauds the House and Senate for passing the long–awaited
Transportation Equity Act—Legacy for Users (SAFETEA–LU),
legislation that will authorize investing $286.4 billion over six
years on highway and transit infrastructure projects. This bill
increases funding 30 percent over TEA–21 and provides $2.6 billion
for Arkansas, a 30 percent increase in funding in Arkansas which will help
deliver projects quicker and safer
